At home and abroad, the world is a fascinating place, a beautiful and exciting place, and I share my wonder and pleasure in travel on my blog--through experiences, photos, and books.
Yes, he is real! He posed for me in Everglades National Park in Florida. Seeing him and so many of his buddies live and in their natural habitat was mindblowing. If you go to Florida, visit the Everglades through the National Park Service.

"Never smile at a crocodile... Don't be taken in by his well-fed grin, He's only imagining how you'd look within his skin!"
I think the creature pictured is an alligator instead of a crocodile, however I think the principle in the previous song I remember from childhood still applies!

Right herе iѕ the рeгfеct blog for evеryonе who wiѕhes tο finԁ out about this tοpic. Yοu understand a ωhοle lоt іts almoѕt harԁ to argue ωith you (not that Ι rеallу wіll neeԁ to…HaΗa). You defіnіtely put а new sρin on а subјеct which haѕ bеen diѕcuѕsеԁ for аges.
Thirty years ago we did take the NPS airboat tour of the Everglades,It was one of the best nature tours I have taken. We also did one in LA of the bayous where the ranger threw marshmallows to the alligators to lure them closer to the boat for photo ops. That was pretty awesome, but my fledgling biologist (she was getting her Master's in ecology at the time) was a little incensed that they were feeding marshmallows to the wild animals.
The funny (or not so funny thing) is that we were told not to feed the alligators. They get used to being fed and they become too close to humans. Then they have to be shot. Times do change, don't they?

Yep, he is an alligator. You're absolutely right about not smiling!!!! You may end up with a hook instead of a hand. LOL
